IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR
KINDERGARTEN PARENTS
When our Kindergarteners begin their first "big school" experience, buying lunch for the first time can be exciting and fun, or confusing and overwhelming. In an effort to ensure all Kindergarteners are confident during lunch, with maximum time to eat, the following plan is being implemented:
- All lunches MUST be pre-ordered by 9am the day of.
- Kindergarteners will only have the option to purchase treats/snacks on Treat Fridays! On November 1st will then open up treats for additional availability.
- Kindergarteners will have a different google lunch form than the other grades. When visiting our website be sure you are utilizing the KINDERGARTEN ONLY form.
You will also notice Kindergarten does not have the same number of hot meal options as 1st and 2nd grade. Like with treats and snacks, additional options will be added on November 1st.
These changes have been made based on a large amount of parent feedback we have received. Ordering lunch brings a new level of excitement and independence for some of our youngest students! Our goal is to provide a slow transition to ordering and selecting lunch choices for our Kindergarteners. With so many changes during the start of a new year in a new school we are hoping this transition is beneficial to all!
Maschio's will be present at the first HSA meeting on September 17th to review the lunch program and answer any questions you may have.
