IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR
KINDERGARTEN PARENTS

When our Kindergarteners begin their first "big school" experience, buying lunch for the first time can be exciting and fun, or confusing and overwhelming. In an effort to ensure all Kindergarteners are confident during lunch, with maximum time to eat, the following plan is being implemented:

Maschios will create a monthly order form. A copy will be posted here each month. The form is designed with three days per page. It is recommended to plan and order three days at a time. Simply complete the form and send it in to your child's teacher. This will ensure all students get exactly what they ordered and alleviate some of the challenges that arise as Kindergarteners learn to navigate lunch time. 

You will also notice Kindergarten does not have the same number of hot meal options as 1st and 2nd grade. 

These changes have been made based on a large amount of parent feedback we have received. Ordering lunch brings a new level of excitement and independence for some of our youngest students! Our goal is to provide a slow transition to ordering and selecting lunch choices for our Kindergarteners. With so many changes during the start of a new year in a new school we are hoping this transition is beneficial to all!

Maschio's will be present at the first HSA meeting on September 10th to review the lunch program and answer any questions you may have.
